Kevin Lieder
kevin@acsdi.com
Kevin has been programming at a keyboard going on twenty-eight years. That
equates to approximately 8.7x10^8 keystrokes, most of them backspace. The
invention of the mouse provided the gateway to graphic creation, a greater
passion, but also to the repetitive stress injury called "mouse shoulder."
Unfazed, Kevin switched the mousing function to his left hand at about the
same time as switching computer systems to the Mac, which makes sense in
some and/orwellian way. Little did he know that back in 2000 when embarking
on a remodeling project which involved a home automation system with forty
channels of dimmable lighting that he would soon be thrust into the world of
advanced control system programming. Even less did he know that in ten years
he would be tearing out the amateur stuff and replacing it with professional
grade systems that actually work every time you execute it.
Christopher Harrington
chris@acsdi.com
I started programming as a kid on a Tandy TRS-80 in the early 90's. Naturally, the attraction to programming was in the challenge. (The TRS-80 had plenty of that.) Now that I've been working with ACSDi for 5 years, I've discovered that my drive in this industry is to learn to work with new devices and technologies as they emerge. Because our programming touches thousands of different devices, each with their own quirks, it's always refreshing and interesting. I'm only satisfied when all of those devices are coordinated together in an effective system with a user-friendly interface. With the changing ecosystem of control and the horizon of new challenges, I'm excited to see what the next project brings.
Jay Honsey
Project Manager
jay@acsdi.com
Jay got his start in AV as a live sound technician with various sound companies in the midwest. In the early 2000s he started working as an installation technician for a southern Minnesota integration company and became interested in the world of control system programming after meeting an interesting guy named Palmer Harbison. In 2008 Jay came to work for ACSDI as the Project Manager. He also handles all the DSP programming and any installation work that may come our way. Jay lives with his wife in Minneapolis and spends his spare time working on and riding motorcycles and playing upright bass in a rockabilly band.
